“FOLLOWING THE TAPE”
This series began in 2007 with the intent of documenting the diminishing role of the trader within the financial market setting. As the global financial crisis unfolded in 2008, the series began to focus more on market events, so many of the later works may concentrate on particular subjects or individuals. The series intends to portray the relationship between the human facet of Wall Street and the complex views that form our perceptions of the financial industry. Most paintings in the series are assigned a title of a date stamp similar to that which is found on a trade ticket.
